NEW ORLEANS _ It was at the end of the scoring gold rush _ 14 points in 20 seconds _ and Donovan McNabb knelt to pray in celebration of his touchdown pass to Charles Johnson. When he lifted his head, he saw Duce Staley kneeling on the artificial turf as if he were injured.
When McNabb approached, Staley jumped up and smacked the quarterback's helmet four times. Left. Right. Left. Right.
The two key members of the Eagles' offensive unit were reveling in the moment on Sunday.
This time, though, it was different.
Staley was doing the congratulating.
