Now that Shoney's Inc. recently completed a financial restructuring program, its Captain D's subsidiary may eventually sail solo.
"I think that Shoney's management is looking at any combination of an asset sale that would leave some portion of a healthy asset base while reducing the company's debt level," said an equity analyst, drily.
One week ago, Shoney's announced the successful refinancing of $205 million of bank credit facilities and repurchased nearly $230 million of senior subordinated bonds. The new financing contains $135 million of credit for its Captain D's division, $99 million of long-term mortgage financing for its Shoney's restaurant ...
