Perhaps the score didn't show it, but the Wild might have turned in its best performance of this young preseason in Saturday's 4-0 loss to Vancouver.
The Wild outshot the Canucks 34-30, but Vancouver goalie Bob Essensa handed the Wild its second consecutive shutout loss.
"At least in this game we had chances," Wild center Stacy Roest said. "When you're not even getting chances, then that's when you should worry. But [Saturday] we had chances, we just need to find a way to convert them."
The Wild, 0-2-1 in the preseason, was particularly strong in the second period, outshooting the Canucks 16-4.
