The Meridian Resource Corporation (NYSE:TMR) today announced three new discoveries in its major fields of interest -- North Turtle Bayou/South Ramos, Weeks Island, and Thornwell, all of which are located in south Louisiana.
The Company has logged its Avoca 47-1 well, located in a newly discovered fault block in the North Turtle Bayou/South Ramos field in Terrebonne Parish, La., with indicated pay totaling over 175 feet in five separate Operc. sands. Meridian is now setting casing in the well to its current total depth of 19,770 feet and anticipates deepening the well for ...
