Audie's Wilkinson's ``Faces of Racism,'' in which he recounts his experience of being stared at by a few Koreans (but ignored by most) in a bank reminds me of an incident that happened to me shortly before I left Korea in August of 1998.
My wife and I had just put a deposit on an apartment in the States. I went to the bank to make out the check. Of course, because I was in a big hurry, they were having a problem and I had to wait for almost an hour.
