Image Processing Systems Inc. (TSE:IPV.), a leading global developer of e-Vision (electronic vision) technology for the display and automotive industries, announced today that it has signed a definitive acquisition agreement with Photon Dynamics, Inc. (NASDAQ:PHTN), whereby Photon Dynamics will acquire IPS in a share exchange transaction.
In the display industry, Photon Dynamics and IPS are leading companies in the design, manufacture and commercialization of yield management solutions for the flat panel display (FPD) and cathode ray tube (CRT) display markets, respectively.
