Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), creator and operator of the only neutral Internet Business Exchange(TM) (IBX(TM)) centers, today announced the grand opening of its 62, 000 square foot IBX center in Los Angeles. Initial participants in the center include Cable & Wireless (NYSE: CWP), Cidera, Excite@Home (Nasdaq: ATHM), Level 3 Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: LVLT), Qwest Communications International (NYSE: Q), StorageNetworks, Inc. (Nasdaq: STOR) and WorldCom Inc. Prior to opening, the 62,000 square foot center is 28 percent sold.
