When you think of the wines of Spain, chances are that you will first think of sherry then move on to the red varieties such as Rioja.
Last week, I had an interlude with the Spanish red wine Rioja at the Hotel Shilla and it was a bit of an unusual experience. I say this because, for me, I least expected to find this premium red wine half way around the world here in Korea.
Furthermore, the Hotel Shilla is unique in the sense that it is perhaps the only five star hotel in town solely managed by locals. What I mean is that everyone working at this property from the top down are Korean nationals, unlike many of Seoul's other top tourist hotels which are ...
