Pity the men's wear shows. Fashion's oft-overlooked step-child just can't seem to catch a break, especially in New York City. It's hard for a design community to get up for a week that only exists as a fashion moment, instead of a movement.
Designers and catwalk-watchers have a bittersweet feelings about spring 2001's post-market slate of shows, the fate of the two day CFDA-sponsored event and all it says about American men's wear.
