In the latest development in the Korean ``kimchi'' versus Japanese ``kimuchi'' case, the former was found to have 166 times more lactic acid than the latter, making it more appealing from the health perspective.

The comparative figures, ironically, were reported in a Japanese TV program, ``Fuji TV -- Korean Kimchi Special,'' which revealed that Kimchi has 800 million lactobacilli per gram while Japanese kimuchi, also called ``asazuke,'' has 4.8 million.
