KANSAS CITY, Mo. _ Kimble Anders thought the autumn of his discontent came last year, when a September injury ruined what could have been a career season.
Now Anders knows he was wrong. Anders said the frustration he endured last season is nothing compared with that of this year. He claims to be healthy, but he's at the back of the long line for the Chiefs at both halfback and fullback.
"It's tougher to deal with this year because I'm able to do something about it," Anders said. "Last year, with the injury, what could I do? Now, at least I could go out and battle for a job. But I haven't been given that opportunity. Until they allow me to fight that ...
