The Inland Revenue are launching a helpline to provide advice to married women who may be able to benefit from a change in National Insurance contributions (NICs).
The helpline, 0845 9155 996, available from 2 October, will follow a mailshot from the Inland Revenue to all those married women who may be affected by recent changes made to boost employment. The changes, made to the level at which employees start to pay NICs, mean that about one million people will no longer have to pay NICs, but will keep ...
