The Washington Trust Company and The Westerly Hospital today announced that the Washington Trust Charitable Foundation has pledged $500,000 to Campaign 2000+, the Hospital's capital campaign. The announcement comes as both Westerly-based institutions celebrate important milestones in the year 2000: Washington Trust is celebrating its 200th year of service and The Westerly Hospital is celebrating its 75th year. The Bank's pledge is the largest corporate gift the Hospital has ever received.
