Tenascin (TN) is a large glycoprotein of the extracellular matrix that is transiently expressed in various tissues during embryogenesis and growth. It is also expressed in wound healing and tumor stroma.[1-3] Tenascin may have a role in cell adhesion, migration, and promotion of growth during fetal development and oncogenesis.[4-6]
