A 24-year-old African American woman underwent above-the-knee amputation 13 years ago for a malignant spindle cell neoplasm near the right popliteal fossa. The resection margins were negative for tumor. Nine years after the surgery, routine chest x-ray follow-up revealed several small nodules with sparse calcification in the lungs bilaterally. These nodules grew very slowly over the following years. Several weeks after delivering a normal neonate, the size and calcification of the largest nodule increased rapidly, and the patient opted to have it removed surgically.
