Growing up in Los Angeles, music had been only of peripheral interest to Chris Bristol. That is until one night during his junior year in high school when a surf band trotted out on the football field to play for a school rally. "I was totally knocked out," he recalls. "I heard reverb for the first time, and I just couldn't believe you could get that sound live." Overnight, he was transformed into the ultimate "gear head," and his spare time and money were devoted to playing guitar and buying as many guitars and amps as possible.
