Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts announced today at the Bass Hotels & Resorts Global Investors Conference that it recently completed a major renovation program throughout more than 70 percent of its properties in the U.S. and Canada. From 1994 -1999, owners of Holiday Inn hotels have spent more than $1.5 billion, over and above normal yearly capital improvements, on extensive renovations. Also, during this same period, approximately 160 hotels were removed from the system due to poor quality, which in turn has improved the overall quality of Holiday Inn.
