AMMAN, Jordan, Oct. 4 (UPI)
Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi arrived Wednesday in the Jordanian Red Sea port city of Aqaba for talks with King Abdullah II on the bloody Palestinian-Israeli clashes, the stalled Middle East peace process and bilateral relations.
Gadhafi, on his first visit to Jordan in more than 20 years, is in the kingdom on a three-day visit as part of a regional tour that has taken him to Egypt and includes Syria and Yemen.
The Libyan leader received an official welcome upon his arrival by boat at the Royal Yacht Club, including a 21-cannon salute and reportedly thousands of people lining the streets of Aqaba to greet him and the ...
