Personal computers and the Internet haven't reduced the sea of paper sloshing through our lives. If anything, we're printing more than ever.
So it might be time for the most paper-happy home users to consider owning two printers: an inkjet for those occasions when color is crucial, and a laser for everything else. Tumbling prices for both kinds of printer makes the idea practical for anyone doing more than the average amount of printing.
