MUSCAT, Oct 5 Asia Pulse - The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) Tuesday raised ceiling of personal loans to 35 percent of the total credit to government and private sectors.
The CBO said the decision to hike the allowed the ratio of personal loans to 35 percent instead of the current 30 percent was prompted by the success of the policy to control personal loans and the improvement of financial and economic situation in the Sultanate as a result of the favourable oil prices.
