Long overlooked as a sleepy regional auto show, Miami is beginning to awaken.

This year, General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner will hold a press conference during the Friday, Oct. 6, press day.

Richard Colliver, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co., will come to town to deliver a luncheon speech, and Saturn Corp. CEO Cynthia Trudell will lead a group of journalists to town to see something Miami is increasingly witnessing - the unveiling of a new model.
