A pocket of polar air moving in from Canada could bring snow to the state this weekend.
Forecasts call for unseasonably chilly temperatures, with highs in the 40s Thursday and 30s Friday. Lows will dip into the 20s in far northern portions of the state.
The extended outlook calls for highs in the 30s Saturday and 40s Sunday, meteorologists said. Lows Saturday will range from the high teens to the 20s. Lows Sunday are forecast to dip into the 20s.
A slight chance of light snow is forecast for all four days.
``We've got some very unseasonably cold air that will be crashing down on us,'' said National Weather Service meteorologist Mark Gehring.
