PHILADELPHIA _ As expected, Eagles running back Duce Staley will miss Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins because of a sprained right foot.
The Eagles changed his status from doubtful yesterday after learning that immobilizing the foot in a cast didn't help the swelling subside. Coach Andy Reid said Staley, who left Sunday's 38-10 victory over Atlanta early in the fourth quarter, would see an out-of-town sports-medicine specialist tomorrow. He did not say where.
Because there is no clear reason for Staley's injury, it's possible that it could sideline him for an extended period. Reid said he would meet with Tom Modrak, the Eagles' director of ...
