Four months delayed, writer Rick Moody came to Lake Forest Academy to conduct a student workshop and read his work at a formal dinner Sept. 21.
Moody was invited to be the writer in residence last May for the annual Celebrate Writers Day program.
The event is based on a student fiction contest, of which Moody was the judge, and senior Samantha Sculnick won. He was unable to attend due to a storm which prevented his plane from leaving New York.
Moody is known best for his novel, "The Ice Storm" which was recently made into a movie. He also has written two other novels, "The Garden State," "Purple America" and a collection of short stories titled ...
