A nationally known evangelical Christian fears his fellow Christians will drop the opportunity, at this perfect moment in history, to eliminate poverty, disease and ignorance in this country.
Ron Sider, president of Evangelicals for Social Action, says U.S. Christians are "so seduced by individualism and materialism" that they won't fight poverty - despite their nation's healthy economy and abundant resources.
