Ever wondered what makes the moon glow, readers? From earth, only the sun seems brighter. Well, the moon reflects sunlight to make it shine at night.
It might look about the size of the sun, but that's because the moon's much nearer to us. It's closer than any other space body. Hey! That's still around 239,000 miles away!
Phew! Some flight! But I'm not the first guy to walk on the moon. Astronaut Neil Armstrong led the way in 1969 with his "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind"!
There's no air up here, so you'd need breathing equipment! As well as plains and mountains, the moon has craters--holes made where meteorites, or space ...
