NEW YORK -- The acceptance of hair coloring among 20-something men has become so widespread that it has taken even professionally optimistic suppliers and retailers a little by surprise.
Feria, a hair color line introduced last year by L'Oreal and targeting the under-35 consumer, has already become the No.4 brand in the category (in Information Resources Inc. data for the 52 weeks ended July 16), and men are a large reason for its success. L'Oreal included men as models on Feria packaging, becoming the first major hair color supplier to do so.
