FlashPoint Technology, Inc., the creator of Digita(TM) OS, the industry standard operating system for digital cameras, announced today that Hewlett-Packard is shipping the Digita OS enabled HP PhotoSmart 618 compact digital camera in the U.S., and will ship the Digita OS enabled HP PhotoSmart 912 SLR-like digital camera in the U.S. in November. These two new Hewlett-Packard cameras further strengthen the industry's acceptance of Digita OS as the standard operating system for digital cameras.
