Aug. 1--Buck up, schoolchildren, even big phone companies get a report card sometimes -- although they don't have to have it signed by their parent company and bring it back.
The latest Kansas report card for Southwestern Bell shows that it has gotten a passing grade in every measure for quality of service for the first six months of 2000.
"They met all their objectives, some of them by a long shot," said Kelly Mabon, a spokeswoman for the Kansas Corporation Commission.
The commission requires Southwestern Bell to report its performance statistics monthly.
