Technology advertising spending for the first half of 2000 has shifted substantially since last year, according to figures supplied by technology publication ad-tracking Adscope, Inc. (Eugene, OR). So called 'new economy' titles showed a 290% growth rate as compared to last year, while computer publications, including desktop and consumer computer titles, showed a drop of nearly 34% in ad pages compared to the first half of 1999.
The top-ranking publication in the 'new economy' category, The Industry Standard, was up 447% to 4151 pages and 715% in revenues to $53.5 million. Business 2.0, ranked number two, increased pages 363% to 1709 with revenues up 657% to ...
