FOXBORO, Mass. _ J.R. Redmond had no idea how little he knew about football _ well, pro football anyhow _ when the Patriots drafted him last spring.
The former Arizona State star had expected to have little difficulty making the transition from the Pac-10 to the NFL because, after all, he hadn't found that much difference between high school and college ball.
"That had been kind of easy for me," he said the other day, "so I figured that football would be football at this level, too, even though I realized everybody was going to be more talented."
