The ice cream business in China has growing rapidly over the last decade, but still has not come close to reaching its vast potential reports China Business. The August 15 issue of the trade publication quotes data from the State Statistics Bureau indicating that the country's ice cream output had reached 1.2 million tons in 1997, representing a nearly thirteen-fold increase from its level of 85,900 tons in 1988.
