AUSTIN, TEXAS -- Works.com, a Web-based office supplies vendor, is looking for accounting firms to sign up both as users and as partners.
Launched in September 1997, by Bo Holland, now the president and chief executive, and Roy Kipp, its chief technology officer, works.com is a one-stop checkout for office supplies and equipment from more than 40 manufacturers, including Avery Consumer Products, Canon, Sparco and Hewlett-Packard.
CPAs are being targeted by works.com because they act as trusted advisors, said Holland. "A CPA is in a good position. They know their job is to help understand and advise customers to great service," he said. Works.com ...
