2000 OCT 3 -- (NewsRx.com) -- A new study reported by researchers in Poland suggests that immunocorrective pretreatment with corticosteroids and thymic extract enhances the immune mechanisms of chronic hepatitis B patients, thereby enabling interferon-alpha therapy to work better.
The report was issued at the EFIS 2000 conference held in Poznan, Poland. M. Jablowski and colleagues from the Medical University in Lodz, Poland, discussed how pretreatment helped a group of patients in their study.
