A talk with Carlos Alvarez of The Gambrinus Company.
Carlos Alvarez, founder of The Gambrinus Co., has earned a stellar reputation for building and rebuilding brands. His links to the beer business, and to the Corona brand, date back to his childhood. Carlos was born in Mexico City, and grew up in Acapulco, where his father established a Corona beer distributorship in the mid-1940s. Subsequently, he went to work for Grupo Modelo, rising to the post of export director in 1978.
