The National Bone Marrow Transplant Link plans to hold an educational forum at 7 tonight at the Sheraton Tara Hotel in Braintree for bone marrow patients, their families and health care professionals.

"It's to help them better cope with the procedure. And for some, it's support for what they're about to go through," said Myra Jacobs, executive director of the Michigan-based service, which provides support to patients and their families.

Kevin Lynch of Canton, who had a bone marrow transplant after being diagnosed with aplastic anemia in 1991, asked the bone marrow link to sponsor the forum after attending a similar one in Michigan last year.
