TROY, Mich., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ --
A new study sponsored by staffing leader Kelly Services (Nasdaq: KELYA KELYB) indicates that 26 percent of the American work force today is composed of temporary/contract workers, or 'free agents,' with another 17 percent of workers considering joining them. This represents an 18 percent increase in two years in the number of free agents and a 31 percent increase in those expressing interest in free agency. These findings illustrate a continuing shift away from traditional 9-to-5 jobs for American workers.
