A new plastics compounding machinery giant will emerge from the acquisition of Krupp Werner & Pfleiderer GmbH by the owner of kneading equipment major Buss.
Georg Fischer AG and an investor group agreed to buy Krupp W&P from Thyssen Krupp AG for undisclosed terms. Fischer will combine Krupp W&P with its Buss subsidiary and its Waeschle materials-handling and conveying business.
Fischer plans to spin off the new group in three to five years, probably in an initial public offering, Fischer spokesman Markus Sauter said in a telephone interview from Fischer's headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
