SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ --
Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) today announced it has reached an agreement in principle on a comprehensive marketing partnership with the San Jose Sharks that includes the naming of the arena as the "Compaq Center at San Jose." The marketing partnership, which is a component of an overall proposal from the San Jose Sharks to the City of San Jose, was endorsed today by San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzales. The proposal must be approved by the San Jose City Council.
