The Democrats are back in the race for the 64th District state House seat, while the Libertarians might be out for good.
The McHenry County Democratic Party chose Lloyd Stoner of Fox River Grove as their candidate for the 64th District seat after a closed door meeting that ran late into the night Wednesday.
Stoner, a 66-year-old retired postal worker, will challenge Republican Rosemary Kurtz for the seat that represents southern McHenry County and far northwest Cook County.
The Democrats' announcement came about 12 hours before a federal judge refused to overturn a state court ruling that kicked Libertarian Jim Young off the ballot for violating ...
