Cooperativa Nacional de Productores de Leche (Conaprole), the main dairy company in Uruguay, associated to the French multinational Bongrain, which controls Estancia Santa Rosa in Argentina, to produce premium cheese for Mercosur. This was announced by the President of Conaprole, Jorge Panizza. This represents a US$20mil investment in an industrial plant and the creation of the company Bonprole. Bonprole will open a commercial office in Buenos Aires. Conaprole's prediction for its Argentinean branch is to control 1% of the Argentinean dairy market in one year.
