INCLINE VILLAGE, NEV. -- Cases of varicella plunged by 71%-89% at the nation's three active surveillance sites between the first half of 1995 and the first half of 1999.

This represents a major success story for the varicella vaccine licensed in 1995, Dr. Karin Gall said at a satellite symposium held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Infectious Diseases Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
