WEST CHESTER, Pa., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ --
On behalf of Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, Lt. Gov. Mark Schweiker today announced nearly $2.7 million in grants to 285 volunteer fire and ambulance companies in Southeastern Pennsylvania -- the first round of grants to Pennsylvania's volunteer emergency responders. Additional approvals will be announced throughout this week.
