UNITED STATES, SOVIET UNION MEET

ON COOPERATION IN PEACEFUL USES OF ATOMIC ENERGY

WASHINGTON, May 2 /PRNewswire/ -- United States and Soviet Union delegations agreed to recommend to their governments the renewal of an agreement on cooperation in atomic energy in a protocol signed at the State Department today.

Signing the protocol for their respective delegations were James F. Decker, acting director of energy research for the U.S. Department of Energy, and Alexander N. Protsenko, chairman of the U.S.S.R. State Committee for Utilization of Atomic Energy.
