HE was the man who had eight chances to play James Bond and ended up in Emmerdale, but veteran actor Patrick Mower says he's neither shaken nor stirred.
The star of Seventies favourites like Callan and Target, who made his Emmerdale debut last night, was first lined up to replace Sean Connery as Bond - but was rejected because he was too young.
And Patrick admits he was snubbed by the 007 bosses a grand total of eight times - the role going first to George Lazenby, then Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan.
