NEW YORK-Consumers who shop a given retailer's online site, catalog and store instead of just one of those are among that retailer's best customers in terms of household income, frequency of shopping and annual expenditures, a new report revealed.
In a survey of more than 5,790 store, catalog and online consumers, the National Retail Federation report found that all three channels drive customers to each other.
"Retailers that strive to provide consumers with more channel choices will undoubtedly have a competitive advantage over those that do not," the report, titled "Channel Surfing," concluded.
