Could Cole-Haan be the cure for Nike apparel's department store malaise?
The $250 million footwear brand, owned by Nike but based in Yarmouth, Maine, is being repositioned to represent the fusion of artisan craftsmanship and modern tech. It might be the kind of label that moves easily from the feet to an updated men's sportswear collection, retailers said.
"I think Cole-Haan in apparel would be a phenomenal name," said one retail executive.
