Oct. 28--FORT WORTH, Texas -- British Airways officials have talked with their counterparts at Delta Air Lines and Air France about joining their SkyTeam global alliance in light of the collapse of BA's efforts to merge with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
British Airways, the global marketing partner of Fort Worth-based American Airlines, has also talked with Swissair, another of American's partners, about a partnership.
The New York Times reported the talks between British Airways, Delta and Air France on Friday, citing unnamed industry sources. And earlier, newspapers in London and Paris, along with several trade journals, also carried speculative reports ...
