Oct. 27--Melange Custom Jewelry is moving from one historic area to another.
The business at 917 W. Douglas Ave. is leaving the Delano neighborhood to become the third retailer to sign on with the Eaton Hotel development, joining Kansas Originals and Smoky Hill Vineyard & Winery.
The move pulls another retailer into the $15.4 million, city-backed rehabilitation project.
Melange will be on the ground floor of the Eaton. It specializes in custom jewelry and less-available stones such as garnet and sapphire. Owner Leslie Kinder-Anderson said she anticipated the business would relocate in January.
