IRVING, Texas _ Troy Aikman said his back felt great as he warmed up before Sunday's game against Jacksonville. It didn't last long.
Aikman left the Cowboys' 23-17 overtime loss to Jacksonville two plays into his second series with a lower-back contusion on his left side that caused spasms. Aikman said he does not know whether he can play Sunday against Philadelphia at Veterans Stadium, which is widely considered to have the worst and hardest artificial turf in the NFL.
Aikman, who took a muscle relaxer to reduce the spasms, returned to the sideline at the start of the fourth quarter.
